UC International Day of People with Disability - BBQ
International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) aims to increase public awareness, understanding and recognition of people with disability and celebrate their achievements and contributions to our communities, workplaces and educational institutions. It is also a time to reflect on the everyday experiences and challenges faced by people with disability.
IDPwD is officially celebrated on 3 December. At UC, we will be celebrating early (before the end of the semester) on Tuesday 15 October, to ensure maximum participation.
This year, the InclusionUC team will host a free BBQ for staff and students on the concourse.
UC acknowledges the Ngunnawal people, traditional custodians of the lands where Bruce campus is situated. We wish to acknowledge and respect their continuing culture and the contribution they make to the life of Canberra and the region. We also acknowledge all other First Nations Peoples on whose lands we gather.
