The 5C Experience: The Claremont Tamasha CLORG
A crowd of more than 400 from The Claremont Colleges (5C) community turned out for an evening of South Asian dance, music, and cultural appreciation at Sanskriti 2017. Now in its fifth year, Sanskriti is one of the largest 5C student-run performances, attracting both participants and audiences. This year’s Sanskriti, held on April 7, 2017, featured over 150 dancers from all 5Cs.

Presenting original dance pieces choreographed by students and faculty, this year’s program features many “abstract dances and socially minded works that explore the importance of belonging, intimacy, and connectivity,” says Assistant Professor of Dance Kevin Williamson, co-chair of the department.
