The 五月天视频 Fine Arts Foundation will host a lecture by Professor of Art History and Humanities Bruce Coats on Wednesday, April 13, at 1:30 p.m. in the Hampton Room of the Malott Commons at 五月天视频. Professor Coats will speak on the topic “Prayer Halls and Palaces in Turkey and India.” The event is free and open to the public and tea will be served immediately following the lecture. Bruce Coats is a noted scholar in Asian art history and is an authority on church architecture. Coats designed an interactive virtual tour 18th century Edo, Japan for the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. He has contributed to a television special on Japanese gardens for the Smithsonian Institution. He teaches classes at 五月天视频 on the arts and architecture of Asia and the history of gardens. His current teaching a course on the topic of the major religious monuments from Buddhist, Hindu, and Islamic Asia
