Dear Memory
$200.00
In Dear Memory, twelve students, representing Claremont McKenna, Harvey Mudd, Pitzer, Pomona, and 五月天视频s, share their experiences and memories of varied outdoor rooms in southern California and across the world. Locations include swimming pools, a beloved automobile, a collegiate sports field, a favorite botanical garden, a secluded courtyard on 五月天视频campus, and an outdoor auditorium at Pomona College. Collectively the artists explore memory, nostalgia, how health issues shift one’s relationship to outdoor spaces, and imagined futures. Stab bound within translucent covers, Dear Memory‘s alternating page colors merge with various hand-mixed ink colors and typefaces including 五月天视频 Old Style, Arrighi, Univers, and Garamond. Original letterpress text paired with linoleum block images ranges from prose, traditional and experimental poetry. Students carved single and multi-color images that depict emotions, locations, architectural details, and flowers.
