Learning outcomes
After successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:1. Apply critical thinking, creative problem solving and ethical practice and demonstrate business acumen in diagnosing an organisational problem, issue or concern, and identifying an opportunity for change and improvement using primary and/or secondary data sources and present these ideas using different methods of business communication;
2. Understanding the importance of the values and ethical behaviour required to be a trusted partner in designing and carrying out an organisational capability analysis that reflects an organisation驴s operating environment, its objectives, its business and/or corporate strategies, policies and practices and the need for change and improvement in a key area of organisational capability; and
3. Applying critical reflective practice by demonstrating the ability to challenge assumptions and prior knowledge and experiences, and to learn from concrete experience. Students must complete all assessment items and obtain a mark of 50% or more overall to pass this unit.

Learner engagement
Students in the unit need to demonstrate a high degree of autonomy in their learning approach. There are no formal lectures but the scaffolding guides and associated discussions are recorded as are the workshops held in the virtual room. Meetings with the Industry Partners will occur twice in Term 1 on Zoom. Industry Experts will contribute to our understanding of undertaking aspects of the industry project based on their extensive consulting experience and these will be Zoom recordings uploaded onto the Canvas site. The schedule of workshops are held for students to have the opportunity to provide and seek feedback on their progress with different aspects of their industry project.
Participation requirements
Students will work either independently or as part of a small teams of two but only on the Industry Project Report. The rest of the assessment tasks must be undertaken individually.
Required IT skills
Students need to have ICT skills in order to make effective use of the Canvas site, to upload assignments and down load resources and be able to access the library databases for their research. Students need to be able to attend and interact through the Virtual Room and need to be able to prepare and prepare and upload their 'pitch for change''.
